Why I Wrote This Book

When I look back on my life, I see a journey marked by both deep pain and profound healing. I see a young woman—broken, searching, longing to be seen, known, and loved. I see a wife who fought for a marriage that repeatedly shattered. I see a daughter raised in a home where love and fear were intertwined, where the image of God I was given was not the God I would later come to know.

But above all, I see a story of redemption. A story of healing. A story of moving mountains.

I wrote She Moves Mountains for the woman who feels stuck, for the one who wonders if healing is possible, and for the one who longs to step into the fullness of life that God has for her. This book is not just about my journey—it’s about yours. It’s about discovering that no matter how heavy the weight of the past may be, God’s love is stronger. His healing is real. And you, beautiful one, were made to move mountains.

A Journey of Transformation

This book is an invitation. It’s an invitation to step into healing, to walk with God in the deepest parts of your heart, and to allow Him to rewrite the story you’ve been telling yourself.

Each chapter is structured to lead you through a process of healing and spiritual growth. Through personal reflection, scripture-based insights, and practical exercises, I want to help you:

  • Deepen your relationship with God – Because true healing begins when we invite Him into our everyday lives, not just our Sunday mornings.

  • Renew your heart and mind – Because the lies we have believed about ourselves need to be replaced with the truth of who we are in Christ.

  • Overcome life’s challenges with faith – Because even in the darkest valleys, we are never walking alone.

  • Embrace your identity and purpose – Because you were created for more than just survival. You were made to thrive.

I believe healing is both a journey and a process. That’s why She Moves Mountains includes a workbook component, giving you space to reflect, journal, and pray through your experiences. I didn’t want this to be just another book that sits on a shelf. I wanted it to be a tool—something that would help you take real, tangible steps toward freedom.

My Story: From Brokenness to Healing

I didn’t always know this kind of freedom.

I was raised in a military family, the only girl among six brothers, constantly moving from one place to another. My father was often gone due to his service, and my mother battled inner wounds that manifested in unpredictable ways. Some days, she was the most loving, joy-filled mother. Other days, she would wake us in the middle of the night to discipline us, claiming that God had told her to do it. Love and punishment became inseparable in my young mind, and I grew up with a distorted view of God—believing He was unpredictable, just like my mother.

As a teenager, God placed a beautiful church family in my life. They took me in, loved me, and slowly began teaching me what love really looked like. But even then, I struggled to receive it. How could I trust love when love had been so inconsistent in my past?

Years later, as a young wife and mother, I found myself in another cycle of pain—this time in my marriage. My husband, my partner in ministry, had multiple affairs. Each time, I believed in his repentance. Each time, I tried to forgive. Each time, I prayed for restoration.

But the cycle continued.

I prayed for him. I fought for my marriage. I believed that if I just prayed hard enough, had enough faith, and gave enough grace, things would change. But what I didn’t realize at the time was that healing wasn’t just something my husband needed—it was something I needed. I had become so lost in the dysfunction that I couldn’t see how my own wounds were shaping my responses.

That’s when I found myself on the doorstep of an inner healing ministry. At first, I went looking for help with my marriage. But instead, I found healing for my own heart.

I began to unpack the lies I had believed about my worth, my identity, and my purpose. I began to see that I wasn’t just a woman trying to hold everything together—I was a woman worth fighting for. And for the first time, I realized that God had been fighting for me all along.

Breaking Free and Moving Forward

After 15 years of marriage and countless attempts at reconciliation, I finally made the decision to protect myself and my children. I chose healing over captivity. Freedom over fear. It was one of the hardest decisions I had ever made, but it was also the beginning of a new chapter—one where I was no longer defined by my past, but by the God who was rewriting my story.

That’s why I wrote She Moves Mountains.

Because I know what it’s like to feel trapped.I know what it’s like to believe the lie that you are not enough.I know what it’s like to wonder if things will ever change.

But I also know the power of God’s love. I know the freedom that comes when we allow Him into the darkest places of our hearts. And I know that with Him, we can move mountains.

A Book, A Workbook, A Journey

This book is more than words on a page—it’s an experience.

Each chapter includes practical exercises designed to help you process your story, reflect on scripture, and invite God into your healing journey. The workbook component includes:

  • Journaling Prompts – to help you explore your emotions and past experiences.

  • Guided Prayers – to lead you into deeper conversations with God.

  • Reflection Questions – to challenge the lies you’ve believed and replace them with truth.

  • Action Steps – to help you take tangible steps toward healing.

Whether you are just beginning your journey or have been walking with God for years, She Moves Mountains is designed to meet you where you are and help you take the next step.

An Invitation to Healing

If you’ve ever felt unseen, unworthy, or unsure of your place in God’s story, I want you to hear this: You are deeply loved. You are worthy. You are called to more than just survival.

Healing is possible. Freedom is possible. Moving mountains is possible.

I pray that as you read this book, you will begin to believe that for yourself. I pray that you will step into the fullness of God’s love, that you will allow Him to heal the wounds of your past, and that you will discover the strength you’ve had all along.

Because you, my sister, were made to move mountains.

Are you ready to take the first step?
